What’s happening?
A standout group of Rockhampton students will join the 2025 QUT Future You Summit from 1 to 4 July, representing the best of Central Queensland’s young talent. The Brisbane-based summit gives Year 11 and 12 students a head start in exploring life after school through university-level workshops, networking, and mentorship.
Students arrive at Somerville House on 30 June for orientation before beginning four full days of future-focused learning at QUT’s Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses.
Why it matters
Designed to support career clarity and leadership growth, the Future You Summit equips teens with hands-on insights into university life, innovation pathways and professional industries.
“This is the 13th year of the QUT Future You Summit,” explained Professor Rowena Barrett, QUT’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Entrepreneurship and Regional Innovation. “It gives high school students the opportunity to expand their skill sets beyond the classroom, explore future career ambitions with like-minded peers, and experience the QUT community.”
