A Rockhampton mum has won $1,055,540.64 in Saturday Gold Lotto. Her entry was one of six division one winners in draw 4601 on Saturday, 23 August 2025. Her 18-game QuickPick was bought at Nextra Card n Paper, Shop 66 Stockland Rockhampton Shopping C, 61-331 Yaamba Road, North Rockhampton. She missed multiple calls from lottery officials on Monday morning. She later saw a text from The Lott.
“I’m stunned!” she exclaimed. “I received some calls from someone earlier on Monday morning, but I didn’t recognise the number, so I left it.
“But then I realised I had a text from The Lott informing me about a potential win. I was like, ‘Is this a scam?!’. I couldn’t believe it! I had to check my ticket as soon as possible. “My son and I went to the shops, and he kept eyeing things to buy. I kept telling him, ‘Go on, get it!’, but he was the practical one, reminding me, ‘Let’s wait until it’s confirmed before we buy anything.’ She added, “I’ve had some bad luck recently and I decided to buy a lottery ticket on Friday for some positivity. I didn’t expect to win!
“I am in a lot of shock right now.”

So far in 2025, five major lottery wins in Central Queensland have shared more than $2.75 million. Nextra Card n Paper is celebrating the latest win in store.
Store manager Arpit Madaan said the outlet has done it again. “I am so excited and thrilled! Prior to this division one win, we sold a $50 million entry in a Powerball draw in November 2024 and we can’t believe we’ve done it all again,” he said.
“This is now our 12th major lottery prize since we’ve opened up the store. The customers will be very excited and will no doubt join us in celebrating the win. “We’ve started celebrating the win by decorating our store and informing all of our customers about the exciting news.
“We wish the customer all the best for their future and hope they spend the money wisely!”

Asked about plans, she was direct. “I will be buying myself a new car! I cannot wait!” She said. “I had a car in mind but now that I’ve won this prize, my options are a bit different. “I’ll be helping out the kids as well. “The rest will go to a long-term deposit, and I’ll have a think about it.”

The winning numbers for draw 4601 were 44, 28, 10, 45, 2 and 33 while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 26. Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in draw 4601.
