What’s happening?

Rockhampton residents will be recognised on Wednesday, 24 September, as the Thank You Circuit from Ergon Energy Retail arrives in town. The event at Kershaw Gardens from 9.00am to 11.30am will celebrate 25 years of community support for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Why it matters

Over the past 25 years, Ergon Energy Retail customers have donated more than $20 million through their electricity bills. These funds have helped RFDS deliver emergency medical care, telehealth, mental health support, vaccinations, and free dental care to Queensland communities.

Local impact

Rockhampton’s free community event will invite locals to share coffee, cake, and conversation while celebrating their contributions. A travelling billboard featuring the names of every current Ergon Energy Retail donor will also be on display.

By the numbers

  • $20 million raised by Ergon Energy Retail customers for RFDS over 25 years.

  • 100,000 customers continue to donate through their electricity bills.
