Queensland’s top AgTech leaders have been selected to represent the state at evokeAG 2026 in Melbourne on 17-18 February.

The Asia-Pacific’s premier agrifood innovation and investment event will host the Team Queensland delegation, bringing together startups, scaleups, entrepreneurs, primary producers and ecosystem enablers.

The delegation will showcase innovative business models, products and services designed to boost profitability, productivity and sustainability in agriculture.

Department of Primary Industries Acting Deputy Director-General Ashley Bacon said the team will present Queensland’s AgTech capability to global leaders and investors.

“From bold ideas to real-world solutions, this delegation will highlight how our innovators are helping to achieve Queensland’s shared vision of driving primary production output to $30 billion by 2030,” Mr Bacon said.

“With most delegates located outside of South East Queensland, the team demonstrates the state’s commitment to building innovation across all regions, leveraging Queensland’s diverse landscapes and unique opportunities to implement cutting-edge AgTech solutions.

“Now in its fourth year, Team Queensland continues to reinforce the state’s position as a driving force in AgTech innovation, sustainability and productivity.”

Why it matters

The Queensland Government is backing AgTech innovators and primary producers looking to adopt new technologies and drive investment.

Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation Deputy Director-General of Innovation Jasmine Vreugdenburg said the delegation strengthens the state’s innovation pipeline.

“Supporting a Queensland delegation to evokeAG strengthens our innovation pipeline by expanding networks, accelerating collaboration and unlocking commercial opportunities that help position Queensland for future economic growth and global competitiveness,” Ms Vreugdenburg said.

“evokeAG gives Queensland enterprises the platform they need to share knowledge, accelerate great ideas and drive productivity and growth across our primary industries.

“By bringing together researchers, investors and industry leaders, evokeAG strengthens vital connections and delivers fresh insights that help Queensland innovators access new pathways to scale Queensland-made solutions to the world.”
