What’s happening?
The next wave of country music stars is ready to shine. The 2025 Mothertone Gympie Music Muster Talent Search finalists have been announced, with twelve Open finalists and six Junior performers set to take the stage at this year’s Gympie Music Muster, from 28–31 August at Amamoor Creek State Forest.
Why it matters
More than just a local talent show, the Mothertone Talent Search has become a national platform that launches careers. Finalists will perform in front of thousands and industry leaders, competing for a career-defining prize — including a trip to Nashville, paid performances at the 2026 Muster, and mentoring from Mothertone.
“People now know this isn’t just your little country town talent search; to be in it, you’ve got to be at a higher standard — and this year’s lineup proves that,” said Michael Turner, Mothertone’s Talent Search Coordinator.
Local Impact
The Talent Search attracts fresh talent from across Australia, and past winners — including Denvah (2023) and Saralyn (2024) — continue to represent regional Queensland proudly. The event also boosts local tourism and supports the Gympie economy, with attendees immersing themselves in the festival and surrounding community.
