Yeppoon has a new reason to celebrate after dark. The Strand Hotel’s upstairs nightclub officially re‑opened on Wednesday 2 July with a fresh new identity – Horizon. After months of work and anticipation, Horizon has already welcomed party‑goers through its doors, showing off its bigger space, stunning décor, and upgraded features that deliver an unforgettable night out.

The relaunch is the final stage of two years of extensive renovations at The Strand Hotel. The team set out to give the community a venue that not only matched but exceeded expectations. Venue Manager Connar Reid shared, “We are so excited to be relaunching Horizon to our locals and visitors. Following extensive renovations of the pub over the last two years, Horizon completes the venue and elevates the entertainment offering.”
He added, “Previously, upstairs was a popular spot to gather and party on the weekend, but it needed some TLC. We wanted to give our locals an even bigger and better nightclub that feels like new, with more booths, more lights and more fun.”

Horizon is already making its mark as Yeppoon’s premium spot to party. Locals now have access to a venue that features new décor, additional booths, bigger bars, and brand‑new AV systems, including improved sound and lighting. Visitors are also embracing Horizon as the perfect weekend destination, adding to Yeppoon’s growing reputation as a lively coastal town.
