What’s Happening?

Central Queensland picked up two division one wins in Saturday Gold Lotto 4675 draw on 9 May 2026.

A Frenchville dad from Rockhampton woke his wife with the news after learning he had won $2.5 million.

Are you kidding? Is this a hoax?” he said.

Wow! I had no idea! I’m going to wake my wife up right now. She is asleep!”

The father said the prize would help his family and give them the chance to buy a house.

We’ve got three kids, and everyday can be challenging. This will really help set our family up for the future,” he shared.

We can look forward to buying a house too!

His winning 50 game QuickPick was purchased through The Lott app.

Another $2.5 million winning entry was sold at newsXpress Central Highlands in Emerald, though the winner has not yet come forward.

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell urged locals to check their tickets.

We’re urging anybody who purchased a ticket from newsXpress Central Highlands to check their tickets today because you could be the mystery winner we’re searching for,” she said.

Why It Matters?

The latest wins continue Central Queensland’s strong run of lottery luck this year.

For one Rockhampton family, the prize means less financial pressure and a chance to secure a home.

In Emerald, locals are now checking old tickets and hoping the winning entry belongs to someone in town.

Local Impact

The wins sparked excitement across Rockhampton and Emerald over the weekend.

Frenchville locals celebrated the story of a local dad whose family life is set to change overnight.

At Emerald’s Central Highlands Marketplace, shoppers and workers have been talking about the missing winning ticket since the draw.
