What’s happening?
A number of locals have been announced in the 2026 Queensland Open and U21 Men’s and Women’s Teams following the Open and U21 Indoor Championships held in Toowoomba over the weekend.
The Queensland Opens Teams will compete at the Australian Indoor Championships from 11 to 15 January 2026 in Canberra, ACT, while the U21 Teams will compete from 16 to 19 January 2026, also in Canberra.

The team announcements recognise the efforts of players across Queensland who performed strongly at the Toowoomba championships. The selections confirm the athletes who will represent the state at the upcoming national competitions.

Rockhampton is well represented in the 2026 Queensland squads. Talicia Canty (Karana Downs), Jessica Moffat (Karalee), and Emily Witheyman-Crump (Raceview) were all selected in the Open Women’s Team, while Amy Moffat (Gracemere) was named in the U21 Women’s Shadows.
